Ever since Nick was young, music was already a big part of his life. Having been playing the piano since he was 5 years old, there was no doubt that this would be quite a fruitful endeavor. Because his parents were very much involved with church, he began playing there every week. This allowed him to get better at playing the piano. Singing came naturally to him, but with the help of "formal" training in 2010, he has learned even more how to use his voice.

It's only been recent that Nick has ventured into new outlets to express his talents. He started posting on youtube for about 8 months now, and has been able to collect quite a bunch of subscribers and hits on each video. Performing is such a integral part of Nick's life. He's a full time performing arts kind of person. He eats, breathes, and lives the arts. His talents in the arts has racked him numerous recognitions. In high school (2007), he was part of a contest called "Kool Skools". This gives schools around the state of Melbourne to record their own album, and at the end of the contest, there is an awards ceremony held to recognize those who did exceptionally well. Nick was able to win two awards for this, Best Male Vocalist and Best Instrumentalist for Keys/Piano. Ok, just to alleviate the tension, let me show you guys exactly how AMAZINGLY talented this guy is. X] Here is his cover of California King Bed by Rihanna. Enjooooy!!! (:

I don't know why, but his introduction before he sings makes me smile inside. He has this really calm, humble vibe that I think is really cool. He has an absolutely smooth vibrato and great control in his notes. Definitely a winner in my book. (; Nicks future plans with music in general, is to one day, hopefully, make it in the musical industry where he can have the best of both worlds -- singing and dancing. He also longs to be able to record his own album. But because he is so dedicated with his studies, work, and other prior responsibilities, time just currently won't allow. But believe me when I say this... Music was MEANT for him. So I have full faith that he will make it one day, soon enough.

Nick is very passionate at what he does. He works hard to be the best that he could be, and settles for no less. But just because he's a hard worker, doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have a quirky side. He claims to be "stupid" most of the time. Which is good, because life without a bit of stupidity is kind of....lame! Haha! Another thing to take note about Nick, is that he is actually a shy person. Hard to believe right?! But 'tis true, my readers, 'tis true. Outside of singing, Nick is an equally amazing dancer and musician. Like I've already mentioned earlier, music is what Nick does. But you don't HAVE to take MY word for it (although, I highly recommend that you do (; ), instead, let me just show you so you can believe for yourself. This is his most recent youtube upload, and its obvious that he is getting progressively better! I really do wish you the best of luck with your audition!! ^_^ And finally, to end off my post on this incredibly talented young man, I asked him what inspires him most to do what he does. His answer? It's quite simple, OTHER amazingly talented people who are also HUMBLE about their talent. He also gets inspiration from the kids that he teaches at the KStar Music School (in dancing). Their eagerness to learn, and how well they absorb the lessons and apply them inspires Nick to do even better with his own talents. To not be content with how "good" you think you already are. You can always learn something new and refine the skills you already have. The key to being successful at anything, in Nicks case, singing and dancing, is to NEVER stop learning. Like the saying goes, "There is always room for improvement." Because when you think about it, perfection can never truly be achieved, but you can get damn near it. :D

Alright my blog readers, let me just once again thank ALL OF YOU who continue to support my blog. I know, I know.... I suck at keeping up with my blog posts nowadays. And I truly am sorry for not being as adamant as I should be with this. I will try to do my best to NOT make each post a month apart. Lol! Maybe just two weeks apart. Hahaha!
